Cookie Policy
What cookies ubava.ee uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your session, preferences, and other information so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others are used for analytics or advertising.
UBava uses cookies sparingly and only where necessary to deliver our service.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies (No consent required)
These cookies are strictly necessary for ubava.ee to function. They cannot be switched off.

|---|---|---|---|
session_id |
Maintains your authenticated session so you stay logged in as you navigate the platform | 7 days | UBava |
csrf_token |
Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks on form submissions | Session | UBava |
Analytics Cookies (Consent required)
Currently: None. UBava does not use any third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, nothing). We do not track you across sites or build advertising profiles.
If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your explicit consent before setting them.
Third-Party Cookies
When you interact with our payment system, the following third-party cookies may be set:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
__stripe_mid / __stripe_sid |
Payment processing, fraud prevention, and secure checkout | Session | Stripe Inc. |
Stripe's cookies are set only when you interact with the payment flow (e.g., subscribing to a plan or updating billing details). See Stripe's Privacy Policy for full details.
3. How to Manage Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are stored on your device
- Delete all or specific cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
- Block third-party cookies while allowing first-party cookies
Instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Note: Blocking essential cookies (session_id, csrf_token) will prevent you from logging in and using the UBava platform. The site will not function correctly without them.
4. Legal Basis
Our use of cookies is governed by the following legal frameworks:
- Essential cookies — Legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our service and do not require consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
- Non-essential cookies — Consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If we introduce any non-essential cookies in the future, we will obtain your prior, informed, freely given consent before setting them.
- ePrivacy Directive — Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC), transposed into Estonian law via the Estonian Electronic Communications Act (§ 102), governs the storage of information on user devices.
